But this only works if you're leading meetings with people you have a built a good connection with, whether as their colleague, employer, employee, client... whatever your relationship. If you don't have that, going for the human first can feel forced, or like pulling at a heartstring that isn't there, so I'd also add that building a relationship with people should go into the mix.
